- Get paper and a pen, and in your "minds eye" design how you would like the website to appear. Knowing how you'd like your Wordpress theme and site designed from the get go will significantly help when setting it up correctly.
- Once you’ve created a rough outline of your Wordpress website, its time to decide the domain name (also known as a web hosting package) that you'd like to register and purchase. The domain name and type that you choose are critical aspects to your business. You will want a domain that's both keyword rich AND simple for your visitors to remember (and tell their friends about) so they can easily return.

- Ready? Head to the Wordpress site to follow the relevant instructions. You will have to create a database inside your hosting account, take these details, and then insert them into a special text file before putting them on Wordpress (text files like Notepad are best). You will then need to add these relevant details.
- Next, you will need to create a security key for your Wordpress website. Once you’ve changed the original Wordpress file, you can upload the files to your ftp server and then click on the link provided to you by Wordpress so that you can go about installing the platform. From here, you can go about choosing a theme and designing the site.
